    Lab Retreat

Our recent team retreat was special to me. A nice mix of deep thinking, creative energy, and fun 🙂

From filling whiteboards with sticky notes on AI, efficient coding, critical thinking, and communication… to rolling up our sleeves on a focused Nextflow session. Enjoying great food and even better conversations around the table. A big thank you to the @AI Health Innovation Cluster for hosting us.

I’m especially thankful to be working at the exciting intersection of Immunology @Unimedizin Mainz and Cancer @DKFZ – and to do it alongside such a talented and passionate team: @Esenkova, @Faghihi, @Qadeer, @Seebass, @Zheng, @Ĺ˝eĹľlina, @Welte, @Wendel, @Altenhofen, @Panke

We joined SFB1292: Building the TPQ1 Technology Platform

We’re happy to share that our group has recently joined the DFG Collaborative Research Center SFB1292 (“Targeting convergent mechanisms of inefficient immunity in tumors and chronic infections”). The CRC brings together teams working across cancer and chronic infection settings to understand how immune responses become ineffective and how to translate those insights into more precise therapeutic strategies.

We’re looking forward to collaborating across the CRC and to helping turn complex multi-modal data into actionable biological and translational insight.
